SATURDAY: A Picnic in the Park
Spring is my favourite time to visit Wellington Botanic Gardens. Tulips in bloom, Magnolias adorning the otherwise bare trees, the air warming up. So what better way to spend a sunny, but still crisp, Saturday afternoon, than enjoying a picnic in beautiful garden surrounds?
Baguette served with chicken, salad leaves, tomato, camembert (from Kapiti Cheese), fruit and choc chip cookies.
So i'm Tamara. Some would say I have a slight obsession to food and food related things (others might say its full blown). I love to cook, I love to shop for new food, I love reading cookbooks and I love blogging about food. On a non food related note, I also love my fiancee Shaun and my two cats, Mackenzie and Mouse. Though I do not love my job. Back to food, I would love to one day write my own cookbook and open my own cafe. I'm thinking maybe Spanish Tapas themed or Middle Eastern style. My cookbook collection is sitting at 70+ and growing every week. My favourite cuisine to cook at home is Italian and my favourite takeaway is Indian. This blog is an account of what we (me & my fiancee) are eating each night for dinner (and sometimes lunch),including takeaways and eating out at restaurants. Sometimes I will include wine matches too. So sit back, relax and see some dishes to inspire your dinner routine....
P.S If you want a recipe that I haven't included, please email me at tamara.bardell001@gmail.com
